This academy is a great opportunity for high school students looking for experience in reporting and the ethics of journalism. Students will participate in an intensive six-week workshop writing articles and personal essays about various issues impacting their lives. Work will be published in our student magazine, R-WURD, with further publishing opportunities citywide. All students will have an opportunity to submit an application to be considered for an interview.


The reporting academy begins on April 5 ORIENTATION. Classes begin on April 8.


Participants must attend workshops once a week AND once a week with an assigned mentor at 33 E. Congress Parkway, corner of Wabash and Congress.
