Social Networking can hurt/ help your application

Social networking has become embedded into our society, thus is apart of who we are; a reflection of ourselves.

It is imperative that we as social net-workers understand that the items we post on the internet can harm our chances of employment.

When placing your next status, post, twit, picture, or note think, will this be interpreted by another person that I am an intelligent individual with self-respect dignity and integrity? If not, I would revise my judgment, click the cancel button and Google some want ads.

That old My space, and tagged   account that is still active can be found by a quick ZABA search of your name  or email address. That is how employers can find your social life that you have governed to display and while your profile may be set to private , your identity is still noted.

Social Media is not necessarily an all harm to your resume, by admitting that you have a multitude of friends, online slaves, followers you let your employer know that you are a marketing resource that they could value and use to promote their business.
